Mimi regarded Severus with a certain coldness that expressed her dislike for the boy quite clearly, "Mm. No." Mimi replied bluntly, "I've been looking for her, too and I haven't found a single trace of her. A Slytherin girl told me earlier, though, that she hasn't come out of the dorm yet."

"Oh," Severus said, deflated. "If you see her, can you tell her that I need to talk to her? It's important," he said, giving her an equally frigid gaze.

"Personally, I don't think she would want to talk to you. I think it's you that upset her so much." Mimi growled, closing her book and setting it aside, "After all, you were with her when she started crying, weren't you?"

"She was with me. We were going over spells, when one of them seemed to upset her," Severus leaned forward, sneering at her. "Which is why I need to talk to her; to see if I can help her."

"She doesn't need your help." Mimi growled darkly, standing up. She was roughly the same height as Severus, give or take an inch or two, "You don't know anything about how she feels. I, on the other hand, know everything there is to know about October. You couldn't help her if you tried."

"If you know her so well, why are you here? I don't see you helping her," Severus didn't stand up, he just crossed his arms and glared at her. "And I can already tell that you don't care for me. I'd like to inform you that the feeling is mutual."

"Well, I can't very well get into the Slytherin Common Room when I'm a Hufflepuff, can I?" Mimi clenched her fists, "If I could go there, I would be with October in a heartbeat. I have no idea what she sees in you, but rest assured, you won't be seeing her again anytime soon while I'm around."

"I'd like to see you try, little girl," Severus spat at her. "I wouldn't think that a password would keep you from a friend, but I don't see how October can stand you. You're unimaginative and quick to blame others, as well as obnoxious," Severus propped open his book again. "Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to study."

"Bastard." Mimi hissed under her breath, just low enough that he wouldn't hear it. She seized her book from the table and gave Severus her fiercest death glare, "I know what you are, and I know what you're going to be." She growled darkly, "I'm not going to let you hurt her. She wants to be an auror, you know. how's it feel to know she's going to be fighting and killing your kind?"

"I would never hurt her! She knows that! I know perfectly well what she wants to be, thank you very much. And how do you know so much about my 'kind'?" he added in a nasty hiss. A pained look crossed Severus face when Lockhart had mentioned 'his kind' before he could stop it.
He hadn't known what he was doing when Lucius convinced him to sneak out of Hogwarts one late night; he was more worried about keeping his friend and pleasing Lucius. But that dratted boy had lured him into joining a meeting, and Severus would be killed if he had walked away from that meeting without the Mark. He had known too much.

Mimi smirked, "It seems I've struck a nerve." She chuckled, "And anyway, how could I not know about you all? The Slytherin house is swarming with you all. Besides, I wonder what you would do if your master ordered you to hurt October? I doubt you have the power to deny him, anyway. I assure you, there will be a time, perhaps not in the near future, but sometime, when you'll be forced to fight October and the rest of us who are going to be aurors."
The fifth year folded her arms nad smirked at the younger boy again before pushing past him and flitting away between the shelves.

"I didn't want to be one, I never wanted to be one, never, never, never!," Severus said more to himself than to the retreating back of Lockhart. If ever a time came, he'd do anything in his power that she was out of any harm's way before...before....
Before killing fellow classmates, Severus thought furiously to himself. If only there was something I could do....anything... He couldn't stop trembling, and he couldn't stop thinking of any way out of this curse. Getting up, he made his way unsteadily to a more private table in the back of the library. Struggling to keep his emotions in check was becoming a full fledged war now, one that he was slowly losing.
Fortunately, he reached the table in time before he broke down weeping. He tucked his head in his arms, hoping no one would notice his shaking shoulders and the gasps and sobs.

August Cricket waltzed into the library, feeling quite at ease with everything today. It had stopped raining, he had finished his Transfiguration homework, and now, all that was left for him to do was read another chapter in his Potions textbook. However, unfortunately for August, he had lost his Potions textbook quite recently. Still, he was sure the library had an extra copy for those students who had a habit of losing their things.
He scanned the shelves, looking for a copy of the book and whistling to himself. She ruffled his already messy, thick, black hair when he thought he heard the sound of someone crying. Blinking his luminous blue eyes, August began trying to seek out the source of the weeping.

Wiping his face from tears with his sleeve, he managed to compose himself again. He hadn't let his emotions get the best of him for a couple of years. Severus quickly pulled out a Potions book, hoping no one would notice his puffy eyes.

August poked his head around a shelf, attempting to discover the source of the sobbing. He spotted Severus sitting at a table and hiding behind his Potions book, as if he was ashamed for people to see his face. Severus and august had never officially met, but August knew what he looked like after seeing him a few times with October.
"Hey." August said, trying to call attention to himself, "Are you alright?"
