"What are you talking about, August?" October inquired, obviously bewildered by her sibling's actions, "I didn't tell Severus anything..."

"Oh." August quickly detached himself from October, taking a step or two back, "You haven't told Snape you like him yet?"

October was stunned for a moment, just sitting there with a horrified expression on her face. Suddenly, she seemed to snap back to reality. Calmly, she rose from the table, refusing to meet anybody's eyes, and turned to exit the Great Hall, but not before seizing August by the arm and dragging him out with her.

August let himself be dragged. After all, it was better than walking. He never understood why October kept her feelings such a heavily guarded secret. After all, he was the type to wear his heart on his sleeve, "Sorry, October." He muttered as he was dragged along.

"Sorry isn't going to work this time, August. I specifically told you NEVER TO TELL ANYONE." Octber replied before exiting the Great Hall with her brother.

Mesedj glanced curiously after the pair. So October liked Severus, eh? Well, she wasn't going to do anything about it.

Alea entered the Great Hall, yawning. She actually liked mornings, unlike some people. She spotted Mesedj on a bench at the end of the Slytherin table and thought she might like some company. She timidly sat next to her. "Um, good morning," she said, reaching for a muffin.

Mesedj looked over at Alea. "Morning."

Alea wanted to strike up a conversation, but she realized not everyone liked mornings like she did, and decided to wait for Mesedj to say something.

Mesedj reached out and took an apple from a pile on the table. "So... what's up with you?"

Alea shrugged. "Not terribly much. How about you?" she asked.

Mesedj shrugged as well. "Not a whole lot," she said, but then thought of Gryffin and barely kept from breaking down in tears. As it is, she couldn't keep a couple rogue tears from falling onto her apple.

Alea sensed a sudden drastic change in her companion's emotions, from indifferent to heartbroken. Wondering what caused it, she noticed a few tears falling onto Mesedj's apple. She wanted to ask if she was ok, but knew that wouldn't be smart, and purposely dropped her fork so she could allow Mesedj a moment or two.

Mesedj noted that Alea had dropped her fork. Grateful for this, she took the time to wipe off her eyes and regain her composure.

Alea straightened back up with fork in hand. Half-smiling at Mesedj, she started to eat her muffin once more.
