October ventured carefully over to what appeared to be an old desk, although it was laced with delicate spiderwebs and coated by a thick layer of dust. It was painfully obvious that nobody had even set foot in here for ages. She could even see her footprints on the floor because of all the dust.
"I wonder..." October began, lightly touching the desk with the tips of her fingers. The came away quite dusty, "...if anyone has actually ever lived here before." The Shack was rather small for a house, perhaps only big enough to house a single wizard and a few pets.

"Good question," Blaze tried to muse, "Probably was like a summer home or something," thinking of the most random thing that came to his head.
((ok bye now I'll be on tomorrow morning probably around 8or9ish then its farewell... though I probably wont be kicked off the computer till like 1))

((Cool. See ya then. I need to be getting off soon as well.))
"Perhaps." October replied dreamily, shaking the dust off of her fingers, "Then again, the builder could have died just after buidling it and the house never was inhabited."

"Now why would anyone die right after they built something as creepy as this?" he asked disbelievingly going into another room where the floor creeked even louder. After hesitating a moment he backed up and jumped over the creekiest part of the floor landing on the other side.

October threw a quick glance over her shoulder at him, just to make sure that loud thump and the squealing of the floorboards had not lead to him falling through the floor and breaking his neck, "Maybe it hasn't always been creepy. Maybe, at one point, it was just a normal, small house." She suggested, going back to her examination of the desk.
There were three vertical grooves in the wood, running at least about a foot before they stopped. If she didn't already know better, October would have said they were claw marks.

Thinking that was fun he decided to do it again. Backing up and running he jumped back over the floor this time skidding to a stop just by October. "I guess they could have thought it wasn't good enough and died. What are you looking at?" he tried to get closer to see.

October did not reply immeadiatly, but continued examining the three deep gashes in the wood of the desk. It almost seemed as though they had been freshly made; there was little dust in them, "...What do you think of these, Blaze?" She asked him, gesturing vaguely to the gashes.

Blaze looked at them for a second then got chills. There was something not right about this place his head told him. Touching the gashes he said, "It looks like something lives here after all."

"I got the same impression." October replied with a brief nod, "Do you think we should go now?"

"I don't know," he though aloud, "I am fairly curious about what it is." He touched the marks again.

"Well, I think, despite curiosity, it would be against better judgment to say. If the thing that made these still lives here and decides, by chance, that it wants to disembowel a pair of young wizards, I doubt we could do much to stop it."

"Well I don't know about you, but I could stop it." Still he started heading towards the door taking one last look in the room he was in before and, forgetting to jump the creeky part, fell.

The loud cracking of the boards alerted to October that she had probably just failed to prevent Blaze from falling and breaking his neck. Stepping as lightly as she possibly could, October rushed over into the next room. There was a gaping chasm where the floor had collapsed. Tentatively, as though fearing what she might see, October peeked into the hole.
"Blaze?" She called shakily. Her voice echoed down below.

Blaze lost conciousness for a second, but when he looked up he could see light. "Tober," he yelled, "Tober are you up there?" He tried looking around him but it was pitch black. Blaze felt for his wand, but must have lost it somewhere in the fall.

"Yes, I'm here. Are you hurt? Can you move?" She asked, straining her eyes to try and see her fellow Slytherin in the darkness.
