"Yep," He said looking back upward. "So October," he asked another question looking at her, "ever been closer than the gate, or has it always stood in your way before," he chuckled.

"Well, Blaze," She began, turning her large, blue, doe-like eyes to him, "I have never had any desire to go closer. If there are indeed spirits haunting these grounds, I don't think they would like to have me tramping around on their grounds."

"Well they, of course, wouldn't mind me being there and if you're with me then they'd leave you alone," Blaze began to walk towards the shack.

October rolled her eyes, but made sure to do so while Blaze's back was turned. She had to go along now. After all, she couldn't just leave a fellow Slytherin at the mercy of whatever thing was lurking just beyond those walls. Reluctantly, October followed him, shoulders hunched. "I'm only coming to make sure you don't kill yourself." The other Slytherin told him decidedly, glaring fiercely at his back.
Although she spoke it aloud, October found she was really more assuring herself of this. Sure, she had harbored a rather intense curiosity over what resided in the house, but that still wasn't the reason why she was coming along. No, she was much smarter than that.

"Why in the world would I kill myself?" Blaze asked turning around while trying to walk sideways. He ended up only going a few feet before tripping. Luckly he caught himself and began laughing though he wasn't really sure what was so funny.

"Sorry, I should have made that clearer. I meant I'm coming along to make sure you don't get yourself killed." October replied somewhat sarcastically, folding her arms.

"Why would anyone want to kill me? I'm so wonderful after all," he commented once again heading towards the Shack.

"Well, I can think of a few people who wouldn't mind seeing you six feet under." October chuckled softly to herself, "But anyway, there's always the possibility of a floor collaspsing or a cave-in. This is an old house."

"True," Blaze had to agree when he reached the door and saw it close up. He grabbed the handle and pushed, "By the way Tober, who would like to see me 'six feet under'?"

"That Alice girl, for one, and Caroline as well." October replied nonchalantly, shrugging lightly, "And I think Alea doesn't like you very much either."

"Well I don't like Alice and Caroline either, so we have something in common. But I can stand Alea," he trailed off, once again feeling stupid regret. "Well come on, ladies first," he motioned her inside grinning.

October remained stubbornly where she was, folding her arms and glaring at Blaze, "Do you think I am that stupid, Blaze?" She asked, raising an eyebrow, "If anyone goes first, it should be you."

"Yeah, alright," he gave in stepping into the Shack, the floor creaking every step.

Seeing as the floor did not give way under Blaze, October tentatively made her way inside the shack. The floor groaned loudly with each step she took and the rest of the house creaked and cried as though it would all fall part at any give moment. Cobwebs graced nearly every inch of the room, leanding it even more of a haunted feel.
"Hm. Spooky, isn't it?" October commented, gazing around with interest.

Ick, I hate spiders, Blaze thought. He looked around continuing his investigation of the Shack by opening up one of the nearest doors, "Yeah, I guess it sort of is, but it is probably over hyped."
