"Yes,no,yes," he couldn't decide. For the past few days he couldn't decide anything without questioning himself. "What I mean is I'm fine," Blaze was finally able to say, though he still couldn't look at her. Stupid, stupid, stupid! He kept yelling at himself. Then his stomache growled again and got his attention. "I'm just hungry." He muttered heading towards the table again.

October continued to stare at Blaze with that confused look of hers. She found herself a bit worried for Blaze. He was obviously not feeling like himself. The fourth year wondered faintly if he had gotten that terrible illness that was going around. After all, he had looked a bit pale when he first walked in, much paler than usual, and Blaze was probably too prideful to go to the Hospital Wing even if he knew he was ill.
She frowned as she drifted over to the Slytherin table and settled herself down in her usual spot near the end.

Blaze sighed walking slowly allowing October to pass him. Looking around for somewhere to sit, and not finding anyone he knew, he went over to October and once again smiled, "Good Morning Tober," seating himself down and taking some food.

"Oh, so we're starting over, are we?" October chuckled, shaking her head lightly, "Should I forget that, then? The way you acted?" She picked a poppy seed muffin from a platter of them sitting to her right. The fourth year picked at it, not really eating it at all.

Blaze turned red, though not sure if from embarrassment or anger. "Yeah, let's forget that," he muttered slowing down the process of food to plate, plate to mouth.

October chuckled softly again, "Consider it forgotten." She replied, continuing to pick apart her muffin.

"Good," Blaze replied almost coldly picking up a muffin himself. Deciding to truely start their conversation over, he grinned, "So, how are you today, Tober?"

"I'm alright. A bit drowsy, a bit depressed, and yet a bit elated at the same time." October said, pulling off another chunk of the muffin she was maiming and actually eating it, "Have you ever felt like that, Blaze?"

"Let's see drowsy, depressed, and elated," Blaze thought out loud, "nope can't say I have, all at once at least. Of course I feel drowsy almost every day, depressed every now and then, and elated, I can't think of a time I've been elated," He grinned.

"Come now, Blaze. There must be something that makes you even remotely happy..." October insisted, having now basically decapitated her muffin.

Blaze stared at the table a minute trying to think of something that made him happy. He could not think of much and realized he didn't have much of a life. "Oh well, it doesn't matter anyway," looking at her muffin asked, "Do you need a hammer? It might make that job a little easier."

October gave Blaze a funny look, somewhere caught between concern and amusment, "Are you feeling alright, today, Blaze?" She asked him. Usually, talking to muffins and spouting nonsense was not a good sign...

He hesitated again a moment, still not really sure if he was alright or not. "Yeah, I'm fine," he told the muffin. Then realizing it didn't look like he was talking to October, his head shot up and repeated, "Yeah, I'm fine," trying not to laugh at his own foolishness.

October chanced a smile, "Good, because, if I'm not mistaken, talking to muffins is not a very good sign." She said, pointing to his muffin, "I thought you might have fallen ill."

"Oh no, talking to muffins very amusing," he lied. "You should try it sometime." He looked down at his muffin again knowing he would say something else stupid if he continued looking at her. For some reason he had been saying a lot of stupid things latley and couldn't figure out why. As another thought he wondered if he should go to the Hospital Wing after all. Do they have anything for stupidity? Blaze asked himself.
