Blaze walked into the Common Room to find it completely empty. He took a chair near the corner of the big room and frowned at his surroundings. Fine, he thought, I will be as nice as I possibly can to the next person who walks in this room, that'll show both of them... I'll show her, that stupid girl.
He took out a paper from his pocket and started reading it once again, seeing if there was any way he could possibly not have to 'be nice'. He grimaced just at the thought of it, who was he to 'be nice' to anyone.
Blaze --
I know you are enjoying your third year at school, but I must warn you be careful of whom you annoy. Your father and I know you have bit of a temper and don't always come off to everyone as the nicest person in the world to everyone. Be especially nice to those in your House you never know when they will be there for you. Be nice and remember don't aggravate , for you don't want you father (or anyone else for that matter) hearing about you misbehaving.
Your loving mother, Amelia Spellseeker
"Be nice," he muttered mockingly.

October stepped into the common room with her nose in a book and obviously no fixed idea where she was going. Blindly, she walked over to the nearest chair and sat down, not once removing her eyes from the page.
She glanced up after a few moments and realized that, in fact, she was not alone, "Oh. Hello."

When the other Slytherin walked in Blaze changed his frown to a fairly bad smile. He was getting up the nerve to 'be nice' when she spoke to him. He blinked at her for a few seconds then said, "Why hello to you Tobe--October!, what are you reading?"

"Oh, just a book that my friend recommended me." October replied, raising an eyebrow. Blaze was being strangely nice to her.

"Fun," he was barley able to say, since in his oppinion reading was not fun. "What's it about? anything intresting?"

"Oh, it's about these trials that happened in a town in North America, where muggles were hung and put in prison for being accused of Witchcraft." October replied, gazing fondly down at her book, "It's fascinating, because muggles were so fanatical about those things then and were willing to go to such extreme lengths to...ah...'purify' their society."

Blaze grimaced when his companion mentioned muggles, but hoped she didn't catch on to it. When October reached her last sentence Blaze couldn't help up have a laugh escape him. "Sorry," he murmured when he remember his letter, "it's just amusing the concept of muggles trying to purify their society by getting rid of the witchcraft."

"well, they believe witches and wizards were accomplices of the Devil, if you are familiar with all their ludicrous religions." October shrugged, "They thought magic was evil."

Turning Blaze was glad of someone else to 'be nice' to so he didn't have to pretend to be intrested the those stupid muggles and their ... stupidness. "I'm Blaze," he told Drommel putting on his best fake smile, "and you have most likely heard of me."
