Sirius bent over his Charms essay, determined to finish it before dawn broke. Unfortunately, he kept getting distracted by the ample opportunities he was given to doodle all over his essay. The floor beneath him was littered with crumpled parchment that was bedecked with various animals and people with awful...er, interesting things happening to them. Like the one with James being impaled by a unicorn, or Regulus being trampled by a Heffalump.

James leaned over Sirius, reading over the essay for a moment, then bent down and picked up a piece of parchment, carefully smoothing it out and studying it. "Well, you were bored, weren't you?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at the sketch. "Who is this supposed to be, now? All I can see is hooves and something rather squashed-looking." He waved the picture at Sirius, dropped it on the other boy's head, then threw himself down on the rug in front of the fire. "Ah. Warm. So why are you up so early on this fine day?"

Rabastan strolled in from the boys dorm, assured by a classmate that his wager on the The Prides was sure to win him a galleon or two. "MISTA DARCEEEE! MISS BENNET! Why it's been so long!" The fourth year yelled upon seeing his two friends next to the fire. "Does this make me look weird?" he asked wrapping a bright pink scarf around his neck. It clashed violently with his purple tie and offset his aqua socks, but that was Fau to be sure.

James propped himself on one elbow, raising an eyebrow at Rabastan. "I'd better be 'MISTA DARCEEEE', Fau. And you look.... colourful, MISTAH BINGLEY," he added, flopping back down and grabbing the poker next to the fire. "Where's Moony? We need Moony." He waved the poker around for a moment, then tossed it over towards Sirius. "damn. Missed his toes."

Remus stumbled through the portrait hole into the Common Room. He grunted as his fellow Marauders as he passed their various positions, and continuing to walk by them, dropping his bag next to Sirius. With a little shuffle, he moved towards the fireplace and thus, warmth. At an unexpected moment, he tripped over a slight fold in the carpet and fell flat on James. "Right cushion-y landing that one was," he mumbled.

Fau plopped himself down in a armchair and looked at the other marauders. Now that all four were here, they needed something to do. You try keeping four behavior challenged teenage boys in one room for a long period of time. "Don't we have anything fun planned?" the fourth year pouted, "I mean at this rate, We could be having more fun cleaning the dungeon. Not that we should..." he added hurriedly.

Remus lifted his head from where it was cushioned on James' back. "Who ever said we should clean them?" He raised an eye in question, glancing at Rabastan. "We do have the map and a little bit of free time, plus the fact that we have been working on that new spell. . ." he trailed off.

"Mmmm. Whatever you are suggesting, if it involves fun things and not homework, I agree. And if you will get off, I can go get the cloak out of my trunk and the map out of....wherever whoever had it last put it. Who had it?" James made a vague attempt to push Remus's head off his back, discovered his arms didn't quite bend that way, and just moved instead.

Remus' head landed with a thunk on the wood flooring when James moved himself away, effectively ridding Remus of a pillow. Sitting up, he threw a punch at James, making sure that it wouldn't crush his friends arm in the process (drat that werewolf super strength) and summoned his bag over. "Well, if you remembered where everything was like you remember what classes Lily has, then you might have remembered that I have the map this time," rummaging around in his sack produced the map, in perfect repair, from one of the many pockets on the side.
He spread it out on the ground and whispered the passkey to the map, "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good." They watched as the lines that formed Hogwarts began to crawl out onto the map, from the tip of Remus' wand, ending with the dots and name scrolls slowly fading into existence on the paper Hogwarts.

James rubbed his arm, then kicked Remus in the back. "Not my fault the Map's never in the same place for more than a few hours," he muttered. "Lily's schedule only changes once a year." He leaned over Remus, using his friend's head as an armrest and watching the map.
