Thalia leaned against the foot of a great oak tree on the Hogwarts grounds, sketching Hagrid's hut. She hadn't been able to find any of her friends, and frankly, homework was boring. It was pretty much done, but could use some cleaning up. The hut and her parchment and charcoals were much, much more interesting. For some reason though, she felt herself wishing for company.

Cody came from the kitchen where he had spent most of his day finishing all the work he was assigned from his classes that week. He hoped to find Raye outside somewhere, though didn't exactly have any evidence that she would be there. Instead, he saw a girl he had never met before. Still walking, he made his way up to her and saw she was drawing.

Thalia looked up to see a Hufflepuff walking towards her. Finally! Someone to talk to! She didn't know him, but that didn't matter to the charismatic Gryffindor. She smiled at him and waved.
"'Ello there chap!"
(OOC: Thal and Cody have never met...)

"Hi," Cody thought he recognized the girl from earily, but was greatly disapointed to find thay it seemed they had never met. Not really liking meeting new people, he tried his hardest to avoid eye contact.
((thanks!))

The boy looked suddenly nervous. Thalia hoped he wouldn't just up and leave- perhaps she could help him with talking to new people?
"The name's Thalia Faile. Who're you?"

Taking a deep breath the book looked at her and told his name "Cody Uchida." Even though he was shaking hin his boots, which he wasn't wearing, he still said something to the new girl, at least the girl whom he had never met before.
