Upon entering the Owlery, Blaze scanned around recognizing the usual occupants. His letters clenched in his fist, the boy strode onward kicking over random birds. Blaze had been in a worse mood than normal over the past few days, and would not allow himself to admit it which in the end made his mood even worse. After finding a suitable owl, Blaze unclenched his hand causing two envelopes to fall onto the ground.
Looking at them, the boy still wasn't sure which to send. There, Blaze stood, staring at the two letters not being able to make up his mind. This thing one calls a conscious, he had acquired over the past few weeks was giving him a hard time. Normally he would just send the regular letter to his mother and be over it, what happened happened. Now though, he wasn't extremely sure about it.
See, there were two letters each to his mother about the happenings at Hogwarts since he had spoken to her last. One contained Astrum the other didn't. The last letter he wrote mentioned her indirectly, for it had more to do with the happenings that night than about her. This letter though, told where she was and how to get to her. It didn't, however, ever mention her being his friend. The other letter, you see, was a lie. A complete and total lie. It said Astrum wasn't at Hogwarts but at another school. He suggested the one in France for his mother to search in.
So, here he was, Blaze Spellseeker, standing in the Owlery unable to make up his mind about which letter to send. They both sat there addressed to his mother, both in his hand. He sighed wondering what to do, and wondering why life couldn't be as easy as it used to be. Going with old instinct, that he used to trust ever so strongly, he picked up the letter to his left and attached it to the owl.
