Alea burst into her dorm, tears streaming down her face. She almost threw herself onto her bed and lay there, facing the wall, her tears soaking the green silk sheets she lay upon. Why now? Why Anonimus? Alea thought miserably. She slowly pulled herself into a sitting position with her knees pulled up to her chest, head under her arms, sobbing as if her heart would break. She briefly wondered if this is how Mesedj had felt.

October, who had been dozing until Alea burst in, shot up and looked around, bewildered. Spotting Alea, her expression softened a bit, "Alea?" October slowly got up off her bed and made her way over to the other fourth year. Lightly, she placed a hand on Alea's shoulder in an attempt to comfort her.

Alea looked up, startled, and blinked twice, her eyes still shining through her tears. "Oh, hey, October," she said in a voice choked by tears, and looked back down again.

October frowned slightly, "Care to tell me what's wrong?" She asked, tiliting her head slightly sideways, "Maybe I can help you with it."

Alea shook her head sadly. "Thanks, but I don't really want to talk about it, October," she sniffed, wiping some tears off her face.

Alea looked at October. "October, I'm sorry if I'm being a bit sharp with you, it's just that I don't know what to say," she sighed. If only Mesedj were here... she thought to herself.

"It's fine." October offered a reassuring smile, "You don't have to tell me if you don't feel like it."

Alea sighed and wiped her eyes once more. "I think I'll just try to go to sleep...maybe it'll all be clearer in the morning," she tried to smile, but failed.

October nodded, "Yes. I find sleep, even a little of it, helps me when I'm feeling depressed. Well, I'll stop bothering you now." The fourth year rose from the bed, nodded to Alea, then floated back over to her own bed, flopping down on the green bedclothes.
