Alea collasped in her favorite armchair after her experience with Anonimus..no, the boggart, she thought firmly...determined to work out how she felt about he and Sirius, and, more importantly, what they felt about her.

Blaze walked into the Common Room in a sort of daze, then saw the girl from his DADA class. He thought about making some snide remark but remembered his own boggart and decided against it. So instead he sighed and sat down in a chair oppsite her, "What's got you down?" he asked for once truely being sincere.

Alea glanced up at him, sensing the sincerity in his tone. "I'm just trying to sort out my feelings from the tangle they're in," she said sadly, not meeting his eyes. She was embarressed that the whole class saw her have an emotional breakdown over a Gryffindor.

"Don't worry I know how you fell, well sort of, at least I think I do. Oh I don't know, it's confusing," he was trying to figure out what he was saying.

Alea laughed. "I understand what you mean," she told him. "You know, when you're not trying to be tough and trying to beat people in something or another, you're not really that bad."

He glared at her, "Of course I am. Bad I mean," still not completely understanding what he was saying, "At least I'm more bad than that stupid girl and that stupid Drommel," he added.

Alea saw past his glare. "You know you're not. If you're are, then why do you try to be nice to people?" she realized she was able to read his emotions and aura accurately, or more accurately than usual.

"It's not my fault I have to try to be nice to people," he slightly blushed, "I'd hate everyone if I could," he admitted.

Alea smiled, her eyes glowing. "I'm not saying it's bad for you to be nice. But you're trying a bit too hard," she glanced at him, still smiling.

"Well I'm saying it's bad to be nice, and what am I taking too hard?" he asked.

Alea's eyes lost a bit of their glow. "Being nice isn't bad. You have to be nice to have friends, and everyone needs friends," she sighed, adjusting her silver, ivy-shaped ring. "You don't need to ask people how they're doing, or smile like your face hurts to be nice," she smiled, her eyes laughing.

"Hey--"he started than stopped, "wait, you think my acting's bad too? And first of all I don't need friends. Second, how are you supposed to be nice without bad acting?"

Alea shook her head. "No, I don't think your acting's bad. Yes, you need friends. You'll get terribly lonely without them...I would know," she added sadly. "What I'm trying to say is, you don't have to try hard to be nice, just offer someone a smile or a compliment or a listening ear," she tugged her own ear, "like you're doing now."

"What?" he said fairly angrely, "I'm being nice?! Well that was a mistake, sorry. And besides I have done perfectly fine without friends in the past and I'm doing perfectly fine now," as an afterthought he added, "that's for saying my acting doesn't stink. And I didn't mean that to sound nice if it did."

Alea glared coldly at him. "You know what?" she hissed. "I'm tired of trying to help make your life better, or just tired of helping you relieve yourself of that burden on your heart. So, it's been nice knowing you, Blaze Spellseeker, and good luck with your future, because you're not getting any from me," she stalked out of the common room.
