Caroline hated it, but nodded her head in agreement with October. "I guess you're right, but I just don't see how a person can be so... so," she was at a loss of words and ended up dropping the bottle of Water Mint.

The bottle smashed all over the floor, sprinkling sharp shards of glass all over. October quickly drew her wand, "Reparo." The bottle mended itself neatly, but none of its contents were recovered. October watched it for a moment before returning to Caroline, "Yes, I know. He is a bit arrogant."

Caroline bent over picking up the bottle. She took out a piece of parchment from her bag and wrote an apologetic letter to their potions teacher telling him she would get him more Water Mint soon. When she finished she turned back to October, "I don't know. I just have this really bad feeling about him."

"Hmm?" October raised an eyebrow, "Well, I suppose that could be used as an excuse to avoid him. Personally, I think you would be wise to do so."

"True, and if I was smart that's what I would do, but it also makes me curious. Arg, I hate being curious, it always gets the better of me," Caroline admitted.

"Well, since you are both in different houses, I think it wouldn't be too hard to avoid him. Just try not to think of him. After all, he's probably no one particularly special." October replied, placing a hand lightly on Caroline's shoulder.

"Yeah, you're right, even if his ego tells him differently. I probably won't ever see him again, this is a giant campus after all and I can probably avoid him easily." Caroline said smiling, "But what about you? You're in his house?", she asked worried about what would happed to October and the other Slytherins who didn't like him, which for all she knew was all of them.

"Well, I'm sure I can just ignore him." October replied casually.

"I hope so, and if you can't just tell me and I believe I might enjoy hexing him or something," Caroline said thinking of how fun it would be to have a target to practice on.

October laughed, "I think I would enjoy seeing that."

"Yeah?" the Gryffindor asked. She was really getting excited about the aspect of hexing someone on purpose, "Well, it would be a first for me."

"Well, I advise you not to get too hex-happy." October replied, "You wouldn't want to turn into a bully, after all."

"No I guess not," Caroline said more sadly than she intended. "Oh well, there are still plenty of other ways to have fun," She put her letter on top of the professors desk and walked back to October.

"Of course." October nodded. Her eyes were drawn over to Caroline's potion, which was now bubbling ominously, "By the way, what potion are you attempting to concoct here?"

Caroline smiled mischievously, "It's a truth potion," she told her friend, "I'm going to make it into a solid form and sell it to Zonko's. Of course when I get it right the effects will only last for a couple of minutes."
